Riz and Jeff "Dawg" Healy did the show on Facebook Live (https://www.facebook.com/groups/DiamondDiehards), just after news broke that the MLB playoffs will be played in bubbles after the initial round at teams' regular stadiums. The AL will play in California cities Los Angeles and San Diego, while the NL will be Texas-style in Houston and Arlington, where the World Series will be conducted in the Rangers' new stadium (without the Rangers on the field). Riz & Dawg found some intriguing angles as to how it could work to the advantage of some teams. The other big news Sept. 15 was the agreement of a deal between the current Mets ownership and Steven Cohen, who should have control of the franchise by the end of 2020. Cohen figures to be among the richest owners in North American team sports, but the guys explained the scenarios where he would be inclined to spend big bucks and where he would not. They also examined why pundits are incorrectly assuming that Cohen will make the Mets the highest-payrolled team in MLB. The NFL started over the weekend to much less fanfare than usual. What were Dawg and Riz watching while the pigskin was flying around empty stadiums? You might be surprised the find the answer. At this point in the show, Uncle Paul and some of the other regulars began to pick up steam on the Facebook Live comments, and that pushed the show into a different direction, which including the addressing of the massive western wildfires that have spurned ashen skies throughout the continent. It prompted Riz & Dawg to send the Bat Signal out for Tim Tebow!The guys continue to do more shows live, and are looking to move forward to also get it on YouTube, Twitch and other outlets, so keep an eye out for that and give us feedback.
