Who is Mateo?

Devouring Saturn is a podcast that captures the conversations between visual artist Mateo Gutiérrez and visitors to both his studio and public exhibitions of his work. He invites authors, historians, activists, fellow artists, educators, social workers, politicians, anthropologists, philosophers, and many more into his studio and he also takes his work directly to the public by self-exhibiting his work throughout the US. The guiding theme of the podcast is the democratization of art along with the empowerment of ordinary people to talk about and solve the problems faced in American society through the lens of art.
