Houska Castle is a real early Gothic castle located in the Czech Republic, about 47

kilometers north of Prague, famous for its unusual architecture, lack of

fortifications, and legends that claim it was built to seal a "Gateway to

Hell" - a bottomless pit that was said to house demonic creatures and from

which strange noises and dark winged creatures were reported to emerge.
