Brian spent more than twenty years working in emergency management as a paramedic & law enforcement officer before getting a Master’s degree in Library & Information Science. While serving as the Acting Deputy Secretary of Education for Libraries with the Pennsylvania Department of Education, a cold triggered an autoimmune response leaving him blind & paralyzed from the chest down.Following an NMO diagnosis, he needed to understand more about the disease.
