Time to talk about that movie where Jamie Foxx played a glowing blue character. No, not The Amazing Spider-Man 2. It is Pixar’s Soul! Definitely in the spirit of the season, because what could be scarier than…being dead but also not? All right, I’m gonna level with you all. I just wanted this to be movie episode 22 since there’s a character called 22. Been wanting to talk about this one for a while, and I finally got to talk about it with Jake Damon, who has been a co-host on various episodes of the Intergalactic Peace Coalition.First, we talked about the short film that preceded Soul, which is called Burrow. (And it was National Bunny Day, weirdly enough). Then we got into our Soul discussion, talking about the animation, the music, and the existential questions. We also talked about Pixar, Dreamworks, Studio Ghibli, Cartoon Network, and even our creative writing endeavors. This episode is good for the soul! (Also, pardon the overlapping voices every now and then. I did what I could in post.)Show Notes:Jake’s Social Media: Instagram | Instagram (Art) | TwitterJake’s Book Post on Quarter HorizonDelayed Replay plugs:Email your thoughts about these movies and our coverage to [email protected]!Facebook | Instagram | Twitter | YouTube Apple PodcastsGoogle PlaySpotifySteven Shinder plugs:Facebook | Instagram | Twitter | Website Standalones and Stepping Stones: Lemons Loom Like RainCulture Slate: Facebook | Instagram | Twitch | Twitter | Vocal | Website | YouTube
