This episode is a serious one. We talk about the TOS epsiode "Patterns of Force", which is set on a planet that is similar to Nazi Germany. We are taking a look at the episode and discuss its use of language, how propaganda plays a role in the society portrayed and why facism is dangerous and problematic. We also think about the similarities between the society portrayed in "Patterns of Force" and Germany between 1925 and 1945, while also finding differences between these two societies. But not to worry, even though the subject matter of the episode is a serious one, we still find time for humour and lighthearted discussions!
