I wrote Peter as a love song and a break-up song while my former partner was still alive. After his sudden death in 2012, its lyrics became eerily prophetic, and I sang it unaccompanied at his funeral. In this Music Deep Dive, I revisit the relationship, the song’s folk and electronic worlds, and the way grief changed its meaning - discovering how music can hold love, pain and farewell at once.
