Statements:
1. The tanks were so successful, the British and Americans continued to use them throughout the war, and into the 1950’s.
2. Conditions inside the tanks were rumoured to be so bad that soldiers refused to volunteer, so crews had to be selected through lottery.
3. The tanks were part of a fighting division called the ‘Funnies’, which were a group of weirdly-designed tanks used during the Normandy Landings.
