Public and private funding institutions address the gap between the needs of artistic production and the inability of contemporary market economies to sustain the art and culture field. Art professionals often lack the tools to navigate this system or to understand its governing interests and powers. What measures are required to increase transparency, efficiency and fair access to institutional funding in Europe?
