తేట తెలుగు లో మంచి కథలు, శ్రవణ రూపంలో, మీ పిల్లల కోసం.When my grandchildren of 6 and 3 years of age started to enjoy my version of classic Indian stories, I thought other children will like them too. I take a lot of effort to rewrite the stories. I make sure that the Telugu words are simple, often explaining uncommon Telugu words in English. I also take care that any violence in the story is softened to suit children. And most importantly, I am doubly careful to ensure that the values in the stories are in sync with today's sensibilities. For example, allusions in the stories to superiority of any caste is avoided. The illustrations in the stories are done by a young talent called Rashmi Prabhu. They are drawn in the style of Kondapalli bommalu, to highlight the cultural and artistic heritage of Telugu people.Lastly, when you buy these stories for your children, you are also supporting my larger project called 'Dasubhashitam', where I have provided hundreds of hours of 'free' audio content on Telugu music and literature. Dasubhashitam is a service to the beautiful Telugu Language. Please visit www.dasubhashitam.com. I would also like your feedback on the stories. Please send it to [email protected] you.

25 Blue Fox [ నీలి నక్క ]
Sometimes, someone may become a leader by accident or by luck. However, success as a leader is possible only if the person ‘unlearns’ the traits that are unbecoming of a leader. For example, even if someone is generally a liar and boastful, it is necessary to overcome this trait as a leader. But as they say, old habits die hard. This blue jackal story captures this essence in a hilarious way.--These stories are presented by Dasubhashitam. Join 50000 others who are discovering great Telugu content on Dasubhashitam. 24 Lion and the Rabbit [ సింహము - కుందేలు ]
“With great power comes great responsibility” may be Spiderman’s recent wisdom but this truth is beautifully illustrated ages ago in this story of the Lion and the Rabbit.Since the Lion is the top predator, it is called the King of the Jungle. But even the King needs to follow a dharma. When it abuses power and goes berserk and is stupid on top of it, even something as little as a rabbit can outwit it. Here are some other discussion points for your conversations with your child: Power that is not earned (through faith and respect of others) but got through privilege of birth (like the lion). Does that have anything to do with not following Dharma?--These stories are presented by Dasubhashitam. Join 50000 others who are discovering great Telugu content on Dasubhashitam.
