In this first sermon in the series Reconsider Communion, Daniel Houck introduces the ordinance or sacrament of communion, aka the Lord's Supper or the Eucharist. Though it is unfortunately often neglected in evangelical churches, Jesus gave his church this practice to strengthen our faith through a renewal of the new covenant. We are not free to do communion without following the tradition he handed on. At the same time, there are many right ways to do communion, because Jesus left the details of the administration of communion to the discretion of his church.
