It's all about the goalies on this edition of Daily Faceoff Live.
The guys sit down for a goalie roundtable to debate some of the biggest questions facing NHL teams right now. Does Connor Hellebuyck play another game for the Winnipeg Jets, or could his future with the team be in doubt?
With Igor Shesterkin out for the season, have the New York Rangers seen enough from Dylan Garand to trust him as their starter, or do they need to make a move for another goalie? The guys also discuss Sergei Bobrovsky's early-season struggles after allowing at least three goals in each of his first six starts. Is there legitimate reason for concern in Florida, or will the veteran find his game?
Plus, the conversation turns to emergency backup goalies and how the NHL's updated rules could help teams manage their goaltending workloads. To wrap up the roundtable, the guys make their early Vezina Trophy picks. If you had to cast your ballot today, would you go with Linus Ullmark, Jake Oettinger, Jeremy Swayman or Ilya Sorokin?
