The New York Rangers have suffered a massive blow, losing Igor Shesterkin for the entire season following a knee injury. Now, the big question is who takes over in net and whether the Rangers need to make a move to keep their season on track.
On this edition of Daily Faceoff Live, the guys discuss Dylan Garand going from the waiver wire to becoming New York's No. 1 goalie, whether the Rangers could pursue Connor Hellebuyck, and which goaltenders might be available on the trade market. Could a team with three goalies be willing to move one?
The show also kicks off with Man of the Weekend, as the Seattle Kraken continue to surprise with Ben Meyers and an offence that has made them the highest-scoring team in the Western Conference. Have the Kraken changed expectations after their early-season performance?
Finally, the guys play Fill in the Blank, debating the Rangers' goalie options and identifying the NHL team that should be most disappointed with its start to the season.
