Growing up in Texas, Garrett Poole saw domestic violence firsthand against his mother by his father who was addicted to alcohol. So instinctively, he wanted to be anyone but his father. But as fate would have it, he found himself being addicted to alcohol and other drugs. But his love for his wife and kids made him realize that he needs to change. He is now a owner of martial art studio in Texas, and he runs a successful program for women called Lady in Defense where he work on the mindset of women who is going through or at some point went through domestic violence or abuse.
