It made me think, when we have these fights, where do our words go after they are voiced? Who’s responsible for their reverberations – the speaker or the listener? I don’t know if I found an answer. But writing about it gave my hurt feelings the voice they needed to be heard.”‘Aftershock’ contains a problematic relationship-based narrative and ear-pleasing vocals that will resonate well with fans of Sylvan Esso and Lorde. The atmospheric tune possesses dark synth-laden instrumentation flavored with electro-pop, indie-electronic, and contemporary pop elements.
