HEY SPACE COWBOYS WE ARE BACK AND BETTER THAN EVER, BUT SADLY THE LIVE ACTION COWBOY BEBOP ISN'T! Today, Da Binge Bois come around to talk about the adaptation that no one really wanted, but Netflix wanted some money so here we are. All of us agreed that while the show doesn't live up to the expectations of the original series, it just isn't a very good show even when you take the anime out of the equation. We talked about how we felt the writing overall was very cliché, with a large use of tropes that none of us find entertaining, such as the spoiled child of someone powerful, a father trying to reconnect with his daughter despite his ex wife having moved on and the inclusion of a step father in the picture, and a HEAVY overuse of damsel in distress. Outside of that, we felt that the runtimes hurt a lot of the episodes and that the show progressively got worse after starting off "okay". At the end of the show we do our classic Whatcha Been Watchin' segment where we talk about what we have watched outside of the podcast where Enrique has been watching Tokyo Revengers, Eli is checking out Dexter: New Blood week to week, and Tristan has started his adventure of consuming an all time classic, Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood.
