Episode 6 – Can Black Folks Think For Themselves?
Today Vernon and Ade pose the question, can black folks think for themselves? In the climate of today’s politics, some candidates are telling black voters they aren’t “black” if they don’t vote their way. Also, being told the definition of black people by non black people. The question also lends itself to the state of neighborhood policing and life in general. Black people are usually told how to react to trauma and shortcomings of America. Vernon & Ade introduces some ways for black folks to “speak” when the time comes.

Episode 4 – What’s In It For Black Folks?
Vernon and Adewale breaks down the “conventions” and try to decide, what’s in it for black folks? The definition of insanity is doing the same thing expecting different results. Black folks have been voting since they were given the right to vote, yet the strides that they expect to see never comes into fruition. Maybe a third party or a black caucus to demand tangibles. The state of politics at this moment has black folks having votes and both parties wanting those votes, for nothing. Every other race or group demands tangibles from their representatives, and get them. Black folks get promises and disrespect. Vernon and Adewale speaks on the need for blacks to exercise the right not to vote. In the real world, you cannot get something if you do not give something. This is a juicy issue please enjoy Episode 4 of Da Agenda.

Episode 3 – Identity Crisis
Vernon & Ade explore the identity crisis that Black folks seem to have these days. Historically, Black folks have been led a stray by politicians & immoral people. They go into that phenomena and add their voice to the discussion. It seems that there are always people, usually non black, trying to define what is black and what isn’t black. Biden told black people they weren’t black if they did not vote for him, while black folks are told to get behind Senator Harris, because she is black, while she is not. Some things are true regardless of feelings or biases. A person cannot get what they need or want if they do not know themselves a bit. Knowing politically what would be helpful to black people in their own lives would help them make the choices for them and not what the nation wants them to do. Point: if the Trump administration wrote a law that helped black folks, most still would not say “That was good.” Instead, they would lead with their feelings about a man they will never know. Politicians are people who want to make a difference. Sometimes those differences are to their own benefit and their constituents. Knowing what politician would best relay your feelings and concerns is what the voting process is for. Which is why black folks need to know their needs before voting. Vernon & Ade also delve into the makeup of the “black” community. Unfortunately, it is an outsider to the race, but an insider to politics, that voices the best opinion of what blacks “need” to do. Vernon & Ade gets into the thick of it and offers a solution. Enjoy Episode 3 of Da Agenda!

Episode 2 – Black Culture Vs. Street Culture
Vernon and Ade discuss the misconceptions of Black Culture vs. Street Culture. This is a sensitive subject, because the bulk of Americans and other nations perceive “Black” Americans as ghetto gladiators, committing crimes, and ignorantly living off of the government. Da Agenda attempts to offer solutions, to the issue. It is a popular tactic to make someone or group a “scapegoat”. It is easier to view them in a less than human way, if they are “stopping” you from receiving what you think i your God given rights. In the days of the railroad it was the Chinese who, after their usefulness was past were portrayed as opium puffing degenerates. In the the first world war it was the Zoot suited Latinos, puffing marijuana. For every race that was deemed an enemy of the Nation it is usually the “black” American that has been persecuted vastly more than others. Some say it is their own fault, but some say it is an inherent fear that Americans have sinned against “Blacks” and are always anticipating that “sin” back. The guys go into that dynamic with all eyes open Black culture is black, street culture is in every race. Yet in other races this “street life” is romanticized as in Billy the Kid or the Mafia. While crime is bad no matter who is doing it, they will delve into the perception, and offer their solution to this inconsistency. Enjoy Episode 2 of Da Agenda…
