Something went wrong again today! When I open my mail inbox around 10 am I see a message from Google Ads. One of my ads has just been rejected! Something like this happens unfortunately again and again and sometimes you can not understand the reason. But in this case it was my own fault! I had edited a video on the YouTube channel and forgot that it was a video for an ad. The robot from Google noticed this immediately and rejected the ad because the video was not accessible for a few minutes. In principle, it is not particularly bad if something like this happens once, because currently I still have over a dozen other videos that I can set for such ads. And I could reactivate the ad after the video is now available again. However, you have to be a bit careful why such ads are deleted. In the past, it has often happened that a wrong reason was given for the automatic assessment of the content. For some topics Google has strict rules about what you can say and what you can not say. For some sensitive areas it is even necessary to provide a certificate for the placement of advertisements. But there is also something good about today! Because when I logged into my Google Ads account to check on the cause, I found that the other video ad we posted was generating much better results at significantly less cost! So what's the reason for that? Both videos are pretty similar. But for one video, the CPV value, which stands for cost per view, is about half of what we would have spent on the other video. In other words, we can reach twice as many people for the same advertising budget! Another positive side effect is that this video also keeps viewers engaged with the content for longer. Google Ads provides us with the values for the playback duration. We can see how many percent of the total number of viewers have watched the video at 25%, 50%, 75%, or 100%. Here, too, the values are consistently higher for the video that is still available, which means that 5% more people watch this video until the very end. And what does that mean in consequence? Quite simply: we will now use this video as a new template to make other videos available for ads in a similar way. Because these numbers say what's really important. And that's what really resonates with target customers! These videos aren't about delivering particularly beautiful design or especially complicated content. It's about convincing real people that the content can help them solve their own problems. Because that is the reason why people watch such a video. Either they want to be entertained, in which case they watch cat videos. Or they want to solve their own problems. Then they watch videos that show how to do that. And through the statistical details of our ads, we can find out what goes down particularly well with our target group. So what does this mean in our specific case? Quite simply, we write Google a check for 3 cents. And we do this for every viewer who watches our video. This leads to us finding out which video content is doing very well. And also, as a consequence, it leads to more people watching the videos on our YouTube channel. Because our promotional videos are actually not promotional videos, but the same kind of video you are watching right now. So for just a few cents we can attract new viewers, increase exposure for our YouTube channel, and at the same time find out what works particularly well. And if you can do that, then you're in a position in the long term to attract more and more new customers over the Internet with this kind of automated video content. Okay, that's it for today. If you have any questions or suggestions about the content in this video, feel free to send us an email. We always reply ourselves and usually within 24 hours. Thank you for your attention and see you in the next video!
