Today it is about the question of how you can place yourself well for a particular service or product on the Internet.

In fact, there are many people who try to place themselves for terms that do not even appear on their website!

A good placement can lead to the fact that one can win clearly more customers in the Internet.

But to achieve this you first have to ask yourself how this works technically.

Let's take again a simple term like car.

You can't possibly rank in the top ranks on Google for the term car, because the term car is far too general.

Besides, there are probably rankings for it from Wikipedia that are already 25 years old.

So, in order to position ourselves well on the Internet in the field of vehicles, we need to narrow down this much too general term.

The classic way to do this is to make a restriction that does not take into account a large part of the potential customers.

For example, it would not be a problem to position oneself for the term car if this is combined with other terms.

For instance, one could try to position oneself for a term like car leasing offers for seniors.

If this market is also too crowded, then it often helps to make a regional restriction.

Most people search in their immediate environment.

And Google usually knows where the corresponding device is located.

I am quite sure that it should be possible to rank well in Google for the terms car leasing offers for seniors in the Eifel.

Now you will probably argue that no one searches for this context, right?

In fact you are right.

But this is not the point in the first step.

It's usually about creating a specific positioning that you can build on later.

We have done this in the past as well.

Before we started selling our courses on the Internet, we first created a YouTube channel and uploaded videos about simple automatic trading.

These videos were about a programming language called MQL4.

This then led to us being found for the term MQL4 in conjunction with other terms.

If you look at the search terms that are used in connection with MQL4, then you will very often find in the English-speaking world the search for the term MQL4 Tutorial.

And exactly this term we then booked as a domain for our website.

Of course, that was not all!

Today there are far more than 100 videos on this website which deal with the topic MQL4 Tutorial.

So it is not enough to position yourself on the internet for your technical term with a domain name without content.

You also have to provide relevant information to this term that is actually consumed by people.

And no one is looking for promotional videos on the Internet that show how great you are or why your grandfather started the company 42 years ago.

No one wants to see videos of employees smiling as they go to work and the CEO celebrating himself in his own glory anymore.

People use the Internet and search engines to solve problems and get information that can help them make their own lives better.

But most companies still prefer to talk about how great they are and no one really cares.

But if you can provide helpful video content that can actually get your potential target customer one step closer to their goal, then you stand a good chance of getting placed on the Internet first for a very limited term and then later for broad and related terms.
If you want to find out for yourself if this is practical and if it is true, then just create a few videos with your first and last name and the street where you live.

If you are an insurance agent located in a street called hill drive, add your street name and upload three or four videos to YouTube, then you should show up pretty quickly at the top of Google when people search for your name, the name of your street and the term insurance agent.

If that works, you can expand your positioning to the name of your town or city in further steps.
