This week we talk about resources for first gen college students and other students from minority communities with @Darrell Balderramma. Darrell serves as the Director of the Office of Undergraduate Research at @UTSA. In his current role his office oversees high impact programs, such as TRiO and LSAMP. Throughout his 16 years at UTSA, Darrell has impacted numerous students; including co-host Andrew Baines. We discuss Darrell’s college journey, his dissertation, and the fundamental hurdles that keep students from minorities communities from reaching higher ed.
