The Curious Handmade podcast is one of the first audiocasts I listened to. I’ve been a loyal fan for about 4 years now. I love the intertwining of knitting along with real life that Helen shares as well as where she finds inspiration. I listen to each new episodes while on my Saturday morning walk.

I was introduced to Helen Stewart’s podcast by way of the Knitting Pipeline podcast (which I also highly recommend). Helen does a lovely job sharing about her current design collections, among them the Sock Society and Shawl Society, and also sharing about some of the other projects she is knitting. I really enjoy Helen’s accent and hearing about her UK events. I appreciate her very consistent podcast schedule and thoughtful preparation.

Helen has a soothing voice and poetic way of presenting her crafting life to listeners. I enjoy hearing about her life and how she fits her Jobi to it. I’m appreciative of the opportunity to go along with Helen on her leisure and work travels.

Helen is Curious Handmade, a knitter and designer living in London with her husband and family. She is originally from Australia! And she travels! So she brings to her podcast the many-faceted experiences of the contemporary working woman. Her podcast compliments her knit-pattern releases, so you can follow along with her designs. She also interviews many fiber people- sheep people, fiber folk, dyers, designers, vendors. She often shares her other personal interests with listeners, without getting to far off the topic of knitting! Plus she has just the loveliest voice! I highly recommend a listen.

I started listening to Helen's podcast by picking it at random as I began listening to knitting podcasts this past Spring. JACKPOT! I have been challenged to take on more complicated techniques just because she exposes me to new patterns and projects that I want to make, whether they are her own designs or someone else's. Her conversations about how she designs patterns is so inspiring. I have now knit a couple of Helen's patterns and love her even more for the clear and unique way she writes them.

I just recently started listening to the podcast, after many raving reviews from other knitting podcasts, and I am LOVING it! I have learned so much about the design process, even if I don't plan on designing anytime soon, during Camp Curious!

I've been listening to this podcast for at least 2 yrs and only just realized that I hadn't yet left a review (bad on me). Helen's podcast is excellent -- speaking style, personality, interviews, and discussions regarding all things knitting. She's also extremely generous in promoting other designers and charitable knitting events. I appreciate how frequently Helen publishes her podcasts -- I have a new podcast to listen to just about weekly. This is a must-listen podcast for knitters and creatives.

While I enjoy Helen's style and podcast, I often find myself starting it after having binged on others. So after about 20 min, I tune out.

I really love hearing about Helen's knitting and design work; she's cheerful and practical and i enjoy hearing about her life and design process. I'd definitely recommend listening.

Helen’s “Curious Handmade” podcast is a well-produced weekly program describing her life in knitting, designing and crafting a handmade life. She has a lovely voice and makes you feel like you’re sitting with her, drinking a cup of tea and dreaming and making wonderful things. She interviews other creative people and details her travels to artistic events and retreats. Go have a listen and enjoy her warm spirit.

I've recently started listening to podcasts and Helen's has been a sweet find. Her voice (and accent) are perfectly modulated for easy listening. Her show segments are informative and inspirational. I really enjoy the Curious Handmade podcast with Helen Stewart. She is very pleasant to listen to and she has a natural conversational style. You could imagine sitting in her kitchen with a cup of tea, having a friendly chat about knitting. I like hearing about her knitting projects and her designing. I subscribe to many knitting podcasts and Curious Handmade is among my top three favorites! I highly recommend it to you.

A lovely podcast which centers on knitting, but includes other life enriching segments. I'm loving her light handed segment about simplifying her life. She is also a knitting pattern designer. She talks about designing too... She obviously cares about the sound quality and professional production. Thanks so much, Helen.

Helen could be talking about paint drying and I would still find it enjoyable. Sure, part of it is her charming accent, but I also find her very engaging and knowledgeable. I consistently enjoy her tips and tricks for better knitting and color selection — particularly the Color Theory episode. She has a wonderful manner and approach to knitting and crafting, and seems like she would be a wonderful person to get coffee with and have a chat. Bravo!

I really enjoy Helen's podcast. She shares a lot of different information that all ties back to the love of crafts. I also really enjoy that she is a designer who does not "push" her designs. Instead, she speaks of her design process, etc., in an interesting way. I also love her designs.

I love this podcast. I'm happy every time a new episode appears in my podcast feed. I fell in love with it while listening to early episodes. Helen designed a series of patterns for advent and wrote a series of stories to go with each pattern release. She talked about fairy light installations, and encouraged listeners to share photos of their own, which I thought was a nice way of finding happiness in everyday life. She's a talented designer with a sophisticated design sense. Helen lives in London and regularly travels to Australia, France, and America, and it's fun to travel vicariously through her.

If only I had known of this podcast before my only visit to London. Not only is it full of information about knitting and sewing, Helen makes you want to hop a plane immediately and visit all of her favorite places in London. You will learn where to buy yarn and the closest tube station and then be inspired to make something.

I am so enjoying listening to Helen's podcasts. They are wonderful to listen to while knitting. As others have commented, it is like listening to a friend with a lovely voice.

I first learned of Helen after purchasing the most beautiful baby blankie pattern on Ravelry. ( twinkle, twinkle ). It's nice to hear someone an ocean away with the same interest and values as yours. I have always looked forward to Fridays as I didn't have to bug my kids to do their homework. Now I have another reason to look forward to Friday as that is the day of each new episode. Great content! The only thing I don't like is the gulping noises. Maybe a pop screen would help? Otherwise one of the best!

Helen produces a very professional but charming podcast. She is articulate and her voice is soothing but interesting. She shares her knitting and designing process in a clear but succinct manner. Her segment, “The Simple Life” is very thoughtful. This is a lovely podcast.

The host has a charming accent, she designs fabulous knitwear, and there's enough personal / cultural content to keep it interesting and really make it feel like you're sitting down with a friend over a cup of tea. I heard about this podcast on one of my other favorites, 2knitlitchicks. I downloaded all the available episodes, and listened to them for the entire 4 hour drive I made today to visit my family. I usually don't like the drive, but this time I was sad that it ended, because I hadn't finished the episodes. I love Helen's wonderful voice, and her warm, friendly personality that makes me feel like I'm chatting with a friend about my favorite subject - knitting! I love the 2knitlitchicks podcast, but this one may be in contention to take over as my favorite! I'm only sad that I found out about the podcast too late to join In the Christmas project KAL.

I have caught up with all the episodes and am looking forward to more! Great content, and Helen has such a pleasant and relaxed manner. Very highly recommend.
