Join us at the coffee shop as we discuss the topic of God's love amidst suffering. We'll hear from Julian's own experience of suffering during the plague and peasant revolts of her day. Through sharing her experience alongside our own, we'll further our understanding of God's love for us when people all around are suffering.

Be sure to have a journal to write or a person with whom to talk with during the discussion portion. The discussion questions are listed in the video and here.

1. What did you do to keep your faith in quarantine?
2. What is the worst physical pain that you have ever experienced?
3. How does viewing the Trinity as experiencing human pain, similar or worse than yours, change your understanding of Jesus death and resurrection?
4. How does viewing the Second Person of the Trinity (Jesus) with maternal imagery, change your understanding of God's love?
