The backstory of what led me to a life at sea. From a heartbreaking break-up to a whole new life. The people and events that took my life in a whole new direction...and how the old TV series "The Love Boat" influenced my direction.

Ep. 2 - How I became the @SoloTravelExpert

Ever wonder what it's really like to live, work and play at sea? Welcome to Cruise Director! I'm Shelby Frenette, and I've sailed on more than 500 cruises with tens of thousands of travelers since 1999. I've seen it all - crazy couples, big celebrities, exotic ports of calls, activities gone sideways; but mostly I've been exposed to the amazing adventure that only big boats can bring.

Join me on each episode, as we take a sneak peek inside the glamour, the excitement, the destinations, the ships, and most importantly, the kind of fun that can only be found in the world of cruising. Real stories, valuable insights, travel tips, interesting personalities, great guests, and a whole lot of funny memories of some of my hijinks on the high seas!
So come aboard…we're expecting you.
Let's head off on this trip...together.
