It’s time to shuffle off to Buffalo with Angie’s choice of movie: Stepping Out, starring the legendary Liza Minnelli. Queen Beas used to LOVE watching classic dance films growing up, and she would go on to do some dancing of her own as she emulated the likes of Liza, Fred Astaire, Ginger Rogers and Gene Kelly, all while wearing very spangly, sparkly outfits. But does Stepping Out match up to, say, Cabaret or An American in Paris? Will Jeff even like it since he’s like a guy and everything? Halloween’s comin’, the spookiest time of year, so we’re kicking off C2R Spookums Edition 2022 with THE STUFF, a 1985 “cult classic.” The Stuff is a “delicious, mysterious goo that oozes from the earth” that’s marketed as the “newest dessert sensation, but the tasty treat rots more than teeth.” How could you go wrong with gross-out effects and zombie-like shenanigans? Well, The Stuff [SPOILER ALERT]  figured out how to completely shit the bed with arguably a perfect Halloween movie premise served on a platter. We’re kicking summer off right with one of Angie’s favorite summertime flicks from 1995: The Baby-Sitters Club, based on the popular book series by Ann M. Martin. Angie was a big fan of the series, but not so much babysitting in real life. She gave up her stint in the profession by age 16. So, we thought it would be fun to put Jeff, an inexperienced sitter, to the test (again). Angie presents him with a series of situational questions to see how good of a babysitter he’d make.
