Passage: Job 38–41

After hearing from Job’s friends, Elihu, and Job himself, God finally speaks—out of the storm. He does not smite Job, though Job has accused Him of being wicked, unjust, and uncaring. Instead, God calls Job to brace himself like a man and confronts him with the majesty of creation. This message reminds us that we are in control of nothing, that our lives witness to who God is, and that we stand before Him not as equals, but as servants.
