Jonathan, son of Saul, was not only a fierce warrior who trusted in God’s protection, but he was also a trusted friend to David. He recognized David’s anointing and pledged his loyalty, even at the risk of his own life. Their friendship was one of the most beautiful and inspiring in the Bible.
