The Mad Butcher is one of the most infamous unsolved murders in the state of West Virginia. From 1962 to 1964, the residents of Fayette County lived in a state of terror as seven hitchhikers had mysteriously disappeared from the streets. Most of these people were never seen again, and the few that were had been long dead.
