Marcus is an artist, serial entrepreneur, and cultural engineer based out of Los Angeles who is the creator of Hip Hop Chocolates. His latest project, The Physics of Hip Hop, is holding space for Hip Hop’s maturing population. With this, he now has a unique line of diaper bags to celebrate fathers within the Hip Hop culture, which is coming to a Macy’s near you. What’s amazing is that Marcus is also an art director and software developer, with a prolific set of skills that make him such an interesting and talented person.

I really loved this conversation because we dive into the topic of Hip Hop and the power of the culture for expressing primal human creative urges and using it as a way of male rite of passage and initiation into manhood. As well as celebrating fatherhood and parenthood in general for those who were brought up in the Hip Hop Generation. Also, we talk about how having a creative thought and artistic inspiration has to be acted upon or else you’re doing the universe and God a disservice for not actualizing that idea and how it’s the ego that prevents people from sharing their art, and the connection between creativity and spirituality
