Creating a podcast is not easy, especially starting it out. Luckily, we have a badass woman to tell us how to do it right in this week's episode. Takeaways: When creating a great podcast, it is important to know and think about what your listener really wants to hear.When you have a guest on the podcast, try not to talk about yourself. Let your guest have the spotlight and ask them questions. You are interviewing them. The guest is not interviewing you.If a topic or question doesn't resonate with you on the podcast, it most likely does not matter to the audience. Think of yourself as the audience member. If you don’t care, then do you think they will?Make sure your guests are in a good area to record a podcast. You shouldn't settle for bad quality. Help them out before the recording by asking them to move to a better room. You are not only making yourself look and sound good, but you are also making sure your guest looks and sounds good too.If you don’t do a prep call with your guest, you should at least do a quick LinkedIn and or Google search of them before your call. Get to know them a little so it is not awkward.When interviewing a guest, make sure you give all of your attention to them. Shut down your phone and other electronics. Make them feel wanted.
