Crain's Senior Editor Chad Livengood talks with Dave Akerly on 1320AM in Lansing about a proposal developed by West Michigan businessmen for the state to issue $10 billion in bonds for the school employee pension fund to free up nearly $1 billion in cash that could be used for road-funding. Democratic Gov. Gretchen Whitmer is dismissing the plan, noting a similar pension debt plan was pitched to former Republican Gov. Rick Snyder.
