Examples from GABF Winners List 2019
Gold Medal: Station 101
Claremont Craft Ales – Claremont, CA
6.5% ABV
Notes from Brewery: A truly satisfying IPA: the deep red appearance comes from the addition of highly-kilned crystal malts, while the stiff bitterness comes from a heavy dose of Summit hops. Round it all out with wonderful earthy and tropical aromas from the large Amarillo and Citra dry-hopping, and you have a delightfully dank and rich IPA.
Silver Medal: Side Hike
Kern River Brewing Co. – Kernville, CA
6.2% ABV
Notes from Brewery : This beer balances a variety of malts with a blend of cascade hops. With its distinctive copper color and caramel flavors, this beer is unforgettable .
