Today, I sit down with Douglass Brinker, a 2x suicide survivor, founder of Beacon 4 Hope LLC, soon-to-be published author, and former U.S. Navy Sailor. 

We start things off light with some good port calls and Navy stories- at least what Douglass can remember. His stories are filled with booze and the good ol' spirit of America's Navy. 

We then get into the serious discussion of the suicide crisis that continues to devastate our active duty community, our veterans, and our families. Douglass talks about his two attempts, and how his life was saved. He also shares a story of how a veteran's kind words saved a young man's life. He then ends us with how he is paying back the community that saved his life through his services, as he tries to be a beacon of hope for us all.
