Jenny Lane searched through the AKC website to find a breeder nearby. Thinking that choosing from the registry would help guide her to the right one, she found Murphy. A decision she of course does not regret, she purchased Murphy and took him home despite recognizing many red flags from the breeder. Murphy is nearly fully blind due to an eye condition, she would learn after his puppy vet visit. He was also suffering multiple ailments including giardia. After receiving unpleasant exchanges with the breeder after informing him about Murphy's condition, she would come to learn all about the poor decisions that led to Murphy's poor health in puppyhood. Jenny shares her story with us to inform about the perils of bad breeding and why choosing an ethical breeder is so important.
