Welcome to Conveyancing Podcast Episode 2.

Matthew and Thomas explore the weekly news roundup in the Conveyancing world.

We start with an article from the Law Society Gazette covering a case where a Solicitor is taking the Solicitors Regulation authority to court over alleged harassment and racism.

Our next story is also from the Law Society Gazette where they report that a gang has been convicted of fraud against law firms where they have intercepted communications to gain knowledge of the inner workings of transactions.

We dive into a couple of short reports from the BBC which indicate that the house building sector is increasing according to a couple of surveys which have been published by large players in the sector.

The next article is also from the BBC talking about a Welsh government scheme to help people build their own homes by providing 75% loans to buy land with pre existing planning permission and cover the costs of construction.

Then we move to the Daily Mail for a couple of articles.  The first article examines a firm of house builders who have become embroiled in the leasehold scandal by misrepresenting their products to buyers.  The second article examines the tax implications of selling a Spanish holiday home.

We look at the synopsis of a Daily Telegraph article that is behind a paywall, which looks at a potential tax difficulty where someone has bought their parents home from a landlord while the parents were living there.

Then on a lighter note we look at a beautiful 18th century mansion listed on Country Life.
