The book of Numbers is so much more than a census of the people (although there are two times all the people are counted). It is a book of history that tells a meaningful and often troubling story of the Israelite's time in the wilderness. Rebellion is sadly one of the consistent themes of this book. Thankfully, there are great lessons for God's people of all times throughout this book of numberings and rebellion. We encourage you to look deeply at this narrative in Israel's history.
