We are not distant creatures. We are creatures of social proximity.
Social distancing may eventually prove to have significantly helped prevent the spread of Coronavirus, but it doesn’t seem to be preventing people from catching a negative attitude.
I live in a glass house, so I shouldn’t be the one to throw stones. I get negative. I easily step into the role of victim or martyr. Give me something to suffer about and I will do so—usually unconsciously and mostly unintentionally.
I invite you to join me in a few conversations:
- This too shall pass. It won’t always be this way. Nothing is permanent.
- Social distancing will turn into social proximity again.
- Use technology to bring people close to you.
