To add fuel to fire, over time there has been all manner of theories that have proven to be less anchored in facts and unfortunately sometimes more convincing to those who have a challenging time trusting modern medicine. With opinions see-sawing between the loudest extremes, people with honest questions often feel, judged, dismissed, misunderstood, or even ridiculed.
