In this episode of Connections, Professor Crawford Spence is joined by Professor Yuval Millo of the Warwick Business School. They discuss passive investment, which is a strategy where you hold onto your investments (bonds, shares, commodities) for a long period of time using a benchmark or index and active investment.
Active investment is where you look to ‘beat the market’ by making a profit on your investments by using a hedge fund or portfolio manager who monitors and trades on your behalf.
