Katerina Tokareva is a Russian expat who spent 2014-2021 in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam, immersed within the bar scene in the famous local tourist and nightlife strip, Bui Vien. On an expat and entrepreneurship themed podcast, Katerina joins me to discuss her main challenges in F&B, developing her career, her experiences in Vietnam specifically, the importance of building connections with locals when setting up business in Vietnam, working heavily in that bar industry, her work pre/past pandemic in hospitality, navigating those challenges, and her decision to wrap up her Vietnam chapter for now.
