ComebaCK chats to Alastair Campbell. Alastair is a writer, communicator, strategist and mental health campaigner, probably best known as ex British Prime Minister Tony Blair's press secretary, spokesman, and director of communications and strategy. Alastair has written sixteen books, his most recent 'Living Better: How I Learned to Survive Depression', chronicles his life with mental health issues. He has been one of the most vocal public figures in the UK when discussing mental health, ever since a breakdown in 1986. We talk about the breakdown, working at the top of government, why he is successful "because of" depression and not "despite", a quirky jam jar technique, and how he maintains his mental health nowadays.
