Dean is a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Black Belt under Renner and Ryron Gracie and is the owner and head instructor at Gracie Jiu Jitsu Long Beach. Dean received his yellow belt in 99' and his black belt in 22'. His formative jiu jitsu years were spent at the Combat Base Garage with Chris Haueter and Melissa Haueter. We reminisce on vintage Garage training, what its like growing up in the South Bay Los Angeles jiu jitsu scene, traveling and training with UFC fighters Brian Ortega and Connor McGreggor, and specifics regarding jiu jitsu instruction. Dean is also an avid skateboarder, teaches private skateboarding lessons to kids, is the owner of Tac-Div clothing company, and is the host of Dude Where's My Belt podcast. Enjoy the pod!
