Presentation:  ESL Teaching Strategies to Engage Shy Students

Summary: Have you ever tried a new speaking activity with your students only to be met by stares and silence? Together, we will discuss ways to get even our most hesitant students involved in speaking. Some subtle shifts in our approach, preparation, and execution can make a world of difference. Come and learn some new ways to build your students’ confidence and skills!

Bio: Jacqueline Creed has been a teacher in Korea for seven years. She has a Masters degree in Elementary Education and has experience in various settings as a teacher and an administrator. She is interested in building meaningful contexts and experiences to enhance English language learning.
