Gerry Peary should be familiar to Wisconsin Film Festival audiences. In recent years he has been a guest of the festival twice, in 2013 as a cast member of Andrew Bujalski’s COMPUTER CHESS, and in 2016 to present his documentary feature, ARCHIE’S BETTY. Gerry received a Ph.D. in Communications from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1977 and in addition to being a filmmaker has had a long career in film criticism and journalism with his work appearing in The Boston Globe, the LA Times and many other publications.
Amy Geller’s award-winning productions [PBS's THE WAR THAT MADE AMERICA (2005), FOR THE LOVE OF MOVIES (2009), and THE GUYS NEXT DOOR (2016), which she co-directed], have been broadcast and screened at prestigious film festivals around the world.
