It's been a while since the last podcast, but now on the doorstep of Thanksgiving holiday, Warren and Jason take some time to reflect on how Christians can love and relate well to one another when "normal" life has been disrupted. 

It was our privilege last week to have pastor Cedric Brown of Commitment Community Church in Lindenwold, NJ join us for the podcast, Yes, there was some talk of sports--the footballish kind--but the guys engaged an important discussion about the implications of the gospel of Jesus Christ for how the Church can walk through issues of race and injustice with actual, Christian love. Not to be missed...  

In our sermon series in the book of James, this past week's sermon text included James 1:19, "...let every person be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger..." This past week has been full of change and challenge, and Jason and Warren discuss the importance of listening and seeking to understand the times. 

These have been challenging weeks, and Jason and Warren talk through how we as God's people can think clearly and soberly about the hard things related to the sin of racism as it impacts our nation and the Church. 

In this episode Jason and Warren briefly lament sore muscles, bad knees and the degredation of Warren's vertical leap since his younger basketball-playing days. On a serious note, the guys dig in to some of the practical theology surrounding how our church and the broader Body of Christ thinks about reopening in the age of Covid 19 and how to handle disagreements and strong perspectives among those you love and respect. For a change this week, we put Warren in the interviewer's seat and he got to ask Jason almost all the questions. If you or anyone you know is walking a path of long-term trial and suffering, you won't be at all disappointed in the thoughtful, real and incisive answers that come from their interaction. A bit longer than usual this week, but worth every extra minute.
