Evangelical. It used to be understood as a term that referred to people with a commitment to the gospel. Today, it has transformed into a trigger word for those outside of the Christian faith. Evangelical has become a conservative, political position, steeping Christianity deep into an identity crisis. Simply put, the world doesn’t know evangelical Christians for the gospel.
