Chimatica is an exploration of emerging contemporary expression. In a time where our national Democratic and interpersonal Schematic narratives are increasingly closing in on us, this conversations posits that the private space - the Chimatic - is the one vital layer that we have still private inflection and intimate agency over. Agency that is still free for us to explore and emerge from with work that expresses something genuinely of the now that resonates with relative creative possibility. Equally it is learning to detach ourselves from the dissonant stories, butchered meanings and fragmented narratives - the Dysplexia - that contort and daily dominate us that in doing so remove us from revealing the possibilities and expressions of the Chimatic layer. We will explore this new lens around contemporary narratives via long form conversations with people whose current expression around their work manifests, embodies and is self-evidently trying to navigate these terrains and emerge from them creatively anew.
