Apart From Jesus Without Him, we can do nothing. Our sinful nature and flesh will always pull us away from being the husbands, friends, and leaders God has called us to be. There is no good in us apart from Christ—the only way to bear fruit is by staying connected to the Vine. That connection comes through His Word and truly knowing who Jesus is. We deceive ourselves if we think we’re above temptation, because the lust of the eyes, the lust of the flesh, and the pride of life are always waiting at the door.
