Sometimes they are referred to as a “shepherd sling” or “rock sling” (but please don’t call it a “slingshot”). One of mankind’s oldest tools, the sling has been used across the globe right up to the present day. We are here to discuss this fascinating weapon, its history, construction, and use; and we will share with you our own experiences as slingers.
