The defendant in the Madeline Soto case, Stephen Sterns, continues to induce shock and display audacity in his jailhouse calls with his all-too accommodating parents, Chris and Debbie Sterns. Debbie seems incapable of admitting that her son is the reason Maddie was SA'd and is now deceased. Chris Sterns appears a little more willing to admit Stephan messed up in a major way. And yet, both parents will do anything and everything to ensure Stephan is comfy in jail.
As for Stephen, it's clear that he's been spending his days in jail concocting a tale to explain away Maddie's death and why he's not the perpetrator, why it's "some other guy or gal," who is responsible for the crimes and the destruction of his life. Take a listen.
