Rookie of the Year QB for the Massachusetts state collegiate athletic conference (MASCAC) from Cumberland RI, Dante Aviles-Santos, joins Cam’s Corner for Episode 21. Dante just came off an historical season at Umass Dartmouth in his Rookie debut as last season was canceled due to the COVID-19 Pandemic.

Here are just some of the achievements Santos was able to accomplish this past season:

• MASCAC Offensive Rookie of the Year

• Second Team All-Conference

• Had one of the best seasons in Corsair history

• led the MASCAC with 25 touchdown passes

• third in the conference with 2,197 passing yards

• led the Corsairs with eight rushing scores

• added 299 rushing yards

• won MASCAC Player of the Week for his six touchdown day over Dean College (9/11)

• three-time Rookie of the Week (9/12), (10/31), (11/14)

• Threw for four TD's and 316 yards and rushed for two more touchdowns to win the Gold Helmet Award (11/20)

• Tied single season record with 33 total touchdowns.

Dante is looking forward to the start of next season already. He also explains how is early basketball career helped him into developing into the Quarterback he is today.
